A local Todai franchisee took over the reins of the Portland location and decided that an online presence was long overdue. I was approached with a request for a small but complete brochure website. The client requested that some Portland landmarks be present on the site to easily distinguish the site from the parent company’s global website. As a result, the restaurant’s awning as well as one of the downtown Portland bridges are among the imagery used on the site.
Todai Portland is built using standard PHP with includes being implemented for the header and footer. The Cycle jQuery plugin was used on the homepage to highlight aspects of the restaurant including its Portland location and crab legs. Shadowbox was used on the menu page to highlight other menu items.
